ConsILR - 2013 Edition

    The traditional organizers of this event, The "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iaşi, through the Faculty of Computer Science (UAIC-FII), and the Romanian Academy through the Institute for Artificial Intelligence "Mihai Drăgănescu" (AR-ICIA), Bucharest alog with the Institute of Computer Science Iaşi (AR-IIT), invites you to participate to the "The 9th International Conference on Linguistic Resources And Tools For Processing The Romanian Language". This ninth event from this series of annual events will be taking place in May 16th and 17th, at Sturdza Castel, Miclăuşeni, Iaşi. Attendance to the event will also be made available through video conference.

    The 2013 ConsILR Conference will also host the "Romanian Academic Lexicography. Technological Challenges" workshop as part of the CNCS-CLRE project "Essential Romanian lexicographic corpus. 100 dictionaries from the DLR bibliography aligned by entry level and semantics", in collaboration with the "A. Philippide" Institute of Romanian Philology, Iasi, Department of Lexicology-Lexicography.

    Topics of interest:

    • development of Romanian linguistic resources, textual or spoken, in original form or annotated;

    • development of representative Romanian corpora;

    • development of Romanian lexicographic collections in electronic format;

    • linguistic technologies applied to Romanian language and/or other languages (but with applicability for Romanian language);

    • applied linguistic technologies on Romanian language;

    • theoretical linguistics achievements applied onto Romanian language technologies;

    • collection, completion, annotation and utilisation of resources and of multilingual thesauri where one of the languages is the Romanian language;

    • alignment of multilingual resources of diverse nature focused on Romanian language resources;

    • applications of aligned multilingual resources in Machine Translation, Information Extraction, Word Sense Disambiguisation, Semantic Web etc;

    • research projects focused on the development of resources and technologies dedicated to Romanian language.
